When choosing Tattoo placement, it is important to think about…
How often would you like to see the tattoo ?. Some Art on calfs/ forearms etc get allot more Air time, where as a back Tattoo for instance will be more asthetic for others. Is it a symbol that means allot to you ? ..or that you may wish to meditate on, or just see allot, if so perhaps concider placing it somewhere you will get the most benefit from it.
Tattoos on hands, knuckles, feet, knees etc/ on more callous skin Fade allot faster, so much so that you may require Arkworks to be Touched up much more regularly than expected to keep them fresh. You may also wish to wear gloves to garden n wash up to keep the colour popping ! … wear n tear / rubbing really fades tattoos too !
Rubbing/chaffing, Tattoos regularly under/ rubbing a watch, around ankles beneath a boot or under your backpack straps, may well wear or fade faster. Its is always worth thinking about how you use your body daily before placing your Tattoo. Especially with Micro Tattoos which may be lighter and more effected by friction, chemicals heat or light.
Sun exposure, if you have a face / Shoulder Ear / nose tattoo you may need to concider protecting it from the sun especially if you travel to exceptionally hot places !
Pain Threshold, we always have pain relief available. However these only last for a 30-45 min session. There is also a minimul extra cost involved with application (£20) and it requires 30mins to work, so if your very worried about the pain level please use the body graph to scale The relevant pain level sensitivity of that part of your body and decide whether you want to pick a more or less painful Area.
If your pain tolerance is particularly low or you really don’t feel you can not be tattooed without pain relief, your advised to book in short sessions of 45mins max and make sure to let our Artists know you will require numbing cream. Please do not apply your own numbing cream at home, this may result in a rescheduling of your appointment as we are unable to verify the quality of tbings we haven’t spent time and consideration researching.
Have a design in mind ? …even if unsure of an idea or when receiving a Freestyle design its best to always collect together pictures you like to show your Tattoo artist so they can get a feel for your unique aesthetic !
Have fun planning !
